Foremost Industrialist "Chief Tola Okuneye" Shot Dead Inside Church Two-Weeks To His Daughter's Family Introduction



Tragedy struck yesterday morning in Ijebu-Igbo when 10 gunmen stormed a church and shot dead a foremost industrialist, Chief Tola Okuneye, founder of “Tola Furniture”, popularly called “Ajagajigi”.
It was gathered that the 10 men arrived the St. John Anglican Church,Oke -Sopen,Ijebu-Igbo Ogun-State  in two vehicle  when the Vicar had mount the pulpit to the sermon at about 11 am and  went straight to where the Chief sat and  fired shots on his head.
In a chat with one of his daughters, she expressed that “My dad never had issues with any one, he is not a politician, so he death couldn’t have been politically motivated, all I know is that my dad has tried his best to satisfy the town, and the assassin believe this is what he deserve to pay him back for all his goodness. My dad was a great man; he was my confidant, my mirror, my back bone. He got all what one can ask for in a father, it quite painful to loose such a great man, if cry can wake him up, I’m sure he would have been on his feet by now!

Until his death, the whole family were in a joyous celebration mood as one of his banker daughter’s family introduction was scheduled to hold on April 19, the preparation process has been going on in grand style as the Chief has invited is friends and business associate to be part of the occasion. Aso- ebi had already been sold out; it seems everything has been set, they were just expecting the D-day to come. Unfortunately for the family, the Chief got assassinated on the 6th of April just few days to the event.
Close source reveal that his remains has however been deposited at the mortuary , Ijebu Igbo general hospital, Ogun State

Chief Tola Okuneye, 70, was survived by 6 wives and over 20 children.
