The government of Cameroon has debunked media speculations that some of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls have been ferried to Cameroon and married off to extremists. It said the girls were never sold to muslims within its border as such would be against the teaching of Islam.
It has been reported recently that the girls who were reportedly whisked away on April 14, had been transferred to Cameroon and Chad.
Relatively, the country’s Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakari, said he was shocked by the accusation that Cameroon was not collaborating with Nigeria to free the girls from their captors.
