LIKE A FLOWER By Adeolu Adesanya

LIKE A FLOWER
By Adeolu Adesanya

Like a flower it opens
All it needs is a little warmth
To make it bloom blue
A little moistening
To make its ground wet
And a little love
To make it grow
Big and wide
Deep and strong
Just like a flower.

Like a flower it's beautiful
Shaped like a heart
To tempt you
Scented sweet by nature
To attract you
Dripping juice like nectar
To salivate your senses
And it's taste, what a taste
Very magical and addictive.
Just like a flower.

Like a flower it grows
When it's planted
Takes patience to germinate
When it's growing
Takes too long to mature
When it is flowering
Takes so much effort to nurture
But when it's fully ripen
It grows with grace as it ages
Just like a flower.

Except it's not a flower
It doesn't come
With the many shapes of flower
It doesn't come
With it's array of enchanting colours
It doesn't come
With immobile nature of a flower
But when it come
It come strong, fast and sharp
Makes all flowers go grey with envy.
